Unlike our other rugs, kilims are woven rather than knotted. This manufacturing process makes the kilim very flat. This manufacturing process is also a centuries-old nomadic tradition. Nomads used the finished woven rugs not only as floor decorations, but also as wall decorations or as material for making tents. Special processing methods and natural dyes derived from plants give kilims a unique look.
